Hi, one company in our large Notes domain has been sold off and will be moved onto Exchange. Whilst this is being set up we are looking to split them out of our domain into a new one. Someone has come up with the idea of copying our address book, removing add data apart from the users/ servers belonging to this company. THis would greatkly simplify the process as users could keep their exisitng Notes set up until being moved to Exchange. The main problem I can see is that any NOtes mail sent between the old and new domains will fail , eg if I reply to mail from a user in the new domainm the domain name will still be the same as mine but the user will not be in the address book. We could get round that in various ways such as directory assistance dbs to pick up internet addresses. We would delete their users from our address book and add them to deny access groups for all our servers. All users have a common O level certifier so need to be cafeful about security. We will also be puttiong firewall rulkes in place to prevent access to the networks. Are there any other implications I have not considered to copying the address book? Would be very grateful for any feedback as this needs to be done as soon as possible
